One of the best methods of conversion that I have seen throughout the years is a simple, but effective evergreen or automated webinar. I believe that every online business should have some sort of evergreen webinar that can produce predictable and consistent results for a stable revenue source, in addition to your traditional launches and other sources of income.
I have seen this work across many different industries, all by using the same 5 step formula that I am going to share with you here today.
Firstly, I have to preface that these steps are simple to understand and I will break down all the strategies, but there will be some setup and work that has to be done to get this rolled out. This is not an overnight solution to solve your income woes, this is a system that will work, only if you have the time and dedication to set it up and tweak it over time. But once you hit that golden conversion zone, then it can become an amazing revenue source that drives sales in your business.
Secondly, this will only work if you have a proven offer and webinar that you have been successful with, in the past. You need to know that there is a need in your market for what you are selling and you need to know that a webinar can sell it. Crafting your webinar pitch should be something that is tested and tweaked in a live setting and once you have that nailed down you are ready to go evergreen.
We will call those the pre-steps. If you have both of those steps completed and you’ve validated and tested it before, then you are ready for the next 5 steps.
Step One: Preparation & Planning
In this step, you need to set up and consider all of the moving pieces that your webinar will consist of. You will need to decide on your offer, the bonuses and the price that it will be. You will need to consider how that offer can be sold in an evergreen format and if you need to make any changes to the delivery of the offer to make it work in this format. You will need to figure out how many times a week you will offer the webinar, and how many times someone will see when they are registering. You’ll need to decide if you want to offer on-demand training or if they have to pre-schedule their time. Basically, anything and everything associated with your webinar will need to be planned at this stage. Once you have thought about everything, then you can move to the next step.
Step Two: Setting Up the Foundations
I this step you will need to get the whole webinar all set up. Make sure you have chosen a platform that you are comfortable working with. Setup your slides and presentation, design your offer image and short form sales page, or order form. You will need a registration page and a thank you page and an email sequence that will deliver their access and remind them to show up at the webinar time. You will want to have your registration page hooked up with your CRM so that your leads are added to your list. You will have to hook up the main ‘nuts and bolts’ of your webinar in this step.
Step Three: The Sales Process
This step is fairly self-explanatory. You will want to get everything set up to present your offer, allow your prospect to make the choice, and then collect their payment. You will want to make sure to segment all the people who purchase on the webinar to a different list so that they don’t get sales emails after the fact. You will also want to make sure that after they purchase, they get everything that you promised them, delivered to them. Once you have the sales sequence all set, then you can move onto the next step.
Step Four: Segmentation After the Webinar
After the webinar, you need to make sure that attendees and non-attendees are sorted so that they get a different set of emails based upon the action that they took. You will want to also decide who should get the replay of the webinar – if you decide to offer one. You will need to decide how to craft your emails and how many you want to send to these lists. I have suggestions of how to segment your list and what you should include in each email, in my free Evergreen Webinar Checklist. You can download it by clicking here.
Step Five: Testing & Publishing
The final step is the test and then publish everything. Make sure that you leave no stone unturned. You will want to make sure that this experience is flawless for your prospects. This is your chance to make a good impression and let them know what to expect from you so that they will know what to expect from you once they hand over their money in exchange for your program. So test everything and test everything again.
After you have tested and published it, then you will reach the phase where your webinar is live and prospects will be going through your webinar system. This is where you will want to make sure that you are monitoring and tweaking the results. When you notice something isn’t performing just right, then you can tweak it, but make sure to only tweak one element at a time so you can measure if it makes a difference. This is the longest phase of setting up an evergreen webinar, so while there will be a lot of tweaks that need to be made the results will be worth it. Just keep with it and think of how big this is going to be once you have it perfect.
As I mentioned at the beginning, this is going to be a long road, and it is not something can be an overnight success. We have created a checklist to help you with getting your evergreen webinar set up. We don’t leave out anything, so if you are serious about creating an evergreen webinar you will want to get your hand on this checklist.
